Hôtel de la Mer
Place Masséna is without a doubt the most spectacular and most famous square in Nice. It dates back to the first half of the 19th century, but only acquired its current appearance ten years ago after undergoing thorough refurbishment. The Fontaine du Soleil - a fountain feaaturing the statue of Apollo with horses - is a key featuer of the square. Place Masséna is unique as it concentrates the most impressive neoclassical structures in Nice and is bordered by typical red-facade buildings.
